We all love Harry Potter, and given half the chance, we’d all be delighted to go to the Wizarding World for a term at Hogwarts- but how about for just a day, a wedding day perhaps?
That’s what one couple from Los Angeles have done, tying the knot in a magical style with a hand-crafted Harry Potter themed wedding. But it’s only the bride who’s actually a fan. Cindy, a user interface designer and calligrapher, managed to convince her now husband and director Matthew to go all out with the theme, even though he’s never read any of the books!
But even without inside knowledge of the books, the day was still beautiful to anyone’s eyes, with Cindy handcrafting many of the themed elements herself during the 10 month engagement, including guest books and table markers as well as having a helping hand from the skilled event design company Crosby + Jon. Cindy also designed the invites, based on the Marauder’s Map:

The couple then made sure that they had the perfect location for the wedding in the Hogwarts-esque Hollywood Castle, embellished with outdoor dining tables to rival the Great Hall, and stone turrets and archways to give a magical backdrop to the wedding:
The guests were all instructed to come in costume to give the whole day an element of complete immersion:
