Many of us adore Jamie Lee Curtis. She’s been around for a good long while, and whether you like her in her early stuff, or you’re a fan of her role in Scream Queens, *raises own hand* you’ve seen her around. Well, it seems that now she’s going to be writing a book, and even though there isn’t a lot of info on the upcoming story, I can’t help but be excited about it, because it isn’t like she’s new to this book writing thing.
From what we do know, the novel will be a children’s book about selfies. We knew this kind of book was going to be coming at some point, and it seems that Jamie Lee Curtis is the one to make it happen. We don’t know if it will be a picture book (though the irony would be awesome if that’s the case), or if it’s going to be a YA novel, or if it’ll be a middle grade adventure. In fact, we don’t have much information at all. Then again, do you really need to know more than Jamie Lee Curtis and selfies? I don’t think so, but if you feel like you do, here’s the little bit we do know:
The title. It’s a good one. Curtis’s novel will be called Me, Myselfie, and I: A Cautionary Tale. It’s sure to be full of fun commentary with a title like that. The story is also about a mom who gets a smart-phone for her birthday, and what happens when she becomes obsessed with taking selfie pictures of everything happening around her. Her daughters then have to remind her that real life is happening around her, too.
Seems like this book is going to make a few statements on our current selfie-overshare culture, and Curtis is out to make some points about our technology riddled lives. I can’t wait to see all the selfies people take with the book when it releases, because you know it’s going to happen.
