Heywood Hill, a London bookstore, is launching The Library of a Lifetime Prize Draw to celebrate their 80th anniversary this October.
The grand prize winner will receive a lifetime subscription to Heywood Hill’s “A Year in Books” service which means free books. Monthly. Personally selected for you. For life.
Heywood’s website explains:
“After a reading consultation with your personal bookseller you will receive a hardback book every month for life!”
To enter, you just need to visit their website between October 1st and October 31st 2016 and tell them your favorite book that’s been published in England since 1936 and (optionally) why you love it.
Don’t worry, entrants are allowed to be from anywhere in the world (I made sure).

Let’s recap: not only would you never have to pay for a book again..you would be sent twelve books a year that your personal bookseller thinks you’ll enjoy. No more buying book duds. No more spending hours in bookstores reading the first few pages of dozens of books. (Okay fine, this one you’ll probably still do, but under a lot less pressure!)
For those of you who would prefer to take matters into your own hands, Heywood Hill offers the same personalized subscription service to customers ranging from paperback to hardcover and bi-monthly to monthly, which run between £100 and £350 per year (between $112 to $393 USD). This includes an option for children’s books as well.
