5 Reasons Why Library And Reading Dates Can Be Perfect For You!

Let’s face it… Dating can be tough. Deciding between the crowded movie theater or burning hot beach has never been more difficult. Heck, even one choice too often leads to boredom and a dull date. However, there is one place where dates can always be dynamic, intimate and most of all, enjoyable. Here are 5 reasons why the library can be your perfect place to date with a significant other.

1. It’s always different

You can be sure that every visit to the library would be something different. When you are surrounded by heaps of books, who can’t help but explore, to enjoy and to read? In the larger libraries, you can be sure that finding every hidden treasure vault of books would warrant more than one visit!

2. Sharing childhood memories

Going through children’s books bring about childhood memories, and, in turn, builds a greater understanding of who your partner was as a kid. This way, you can enjoy three stories: the books, your partner’s and your own!

3. A way to compliment other activities

The library is not only a place to date but a place to enhance your experience for other destinations. Walking along the seaside? Going to the beach? How about a picnic? Starting out at the library and picking your favorite book could be the perfect precursor to spending a lazy day reading books in the fresh air with a person you’re interested in.

4. More seclusion from others

There is always a possibility you may run into someone you may not want to see, though the chances of seeing them in a library is usually lower than more popular places such as the mall or other venues (unless they’re all bookworms). Spending time in a quiet corner of the library is always a nice place to relish in some quality time reading together and be away from everyone else.

5. Truthful connecting

Sometimes in the beginning stages of dating, even later stages, we are so caught up in impressing our date or partner that we fail to truly express what interests we actually like. In the midst of all this uncertainty, a good way to see your partner’s true colors is to simply be yourself around them and show genuine interest in what topics they light up about. Fun suggestion: Split up for a bit to look for books, pick books for your partner, and then talk about the books you picked.

Don’t have a date yet? If you’re still looking for a special someone, there are events in some libraries called literary speed dating where you bring in your favorite book and share with other people. No questionnaires. No profiles to make.

So what are you waiting for? It’s time to go to the library!
