I know, for a book lover, this plot line probably sounds like heaven. Trust me, it kind of is. Though the story is told through Autumn’s eyes, and some of it isn’t in the depths of a library, you’ll find yourself falling for Dax. He’s everything that Autumn needs, and more.

He’s handsome, he’s surly, and he constantly seems like he doesn’t give a d*mn. But in truth, he has justifiable reasons as to why. And once you start breaking down the wall he constantly keeps up, you can’t help but see what a great guy he is. Yes, even if he does have his “tough love” moments with Autumn, it’s only because he knows that she needs to take care of herself mentally, and you can’t do that while trying to make everyone happy all the time.
He might be a little grumpy for some, but I think that it’s part of his charm. And the romance in the pages of By Your Side is swoony. In all the best kind of ways. Which shouldn’t surprise anyone, Kasie West is known for her adorable romances that also happen to tackle some pretty serious issues.

Of course, I can gush about Dax all day, but I don’t want to tell you how the book turns out, because I think that you should give it a go for yourself. So just trust that he’s a hunk, there is a library, and there is a ton of snark, as well as a good helping of life lessons. So what are you waiting for?
