2. Carve the Mark (Untitled Duology, #1)  by Veronica Roth

From the bestselling author of the Divergent trilogy comes a new work by Veronica Roth entitled Carve the Mark. I’ve watched a few reviews on Booktube (those who were sent advance reader’s copies) and so far, thoughts on this story have been great. In this science fiction-esque novel, each person is given a specific, unique gift that is, in one way or another, designed to heal the wounds of the violent and chaotic planet. You can pick up a copy on January 17th.

Ooo the synopsis for this one sounds so good, though I’ll give you the much shorter version: two different women, at two different times, move into the same house that is described as “an architectural masterpiece” and weird things start happening to them. It sounds like a really intriguing thriller. Pick up a copy on January 24th.

24.  4 3 2 1 by Paul Auster

I feel that I really can’t give the synopsis of this novel justice (and I don’t want to irresponsibly mess it up), so here is the Goodreads version: “Nearly two weeks early, on March 3, 1947, in the maternity ward of Beth Israel Hospital in Newark, New Jersey, Archibald Isaac Ferguson, the one and only child of Rose and Stanley Ferguson, is born. From that single beginning, Ferguson’s life will take four simultaneous and independent fictional paths. Four identical Fergusons made of the same DNA, four boys who are the same boy, go on to lead four parallel and entirely different lives.” Sounds weird but in a really cool way, right? 4 3 2 1 will be available on January 31st.
