‘The Beatles’ Legend, John Lennon, Remembered In Recently Announced Comic Book

The Beatles are probably one of the most influential bands in the music industry to date. The group began in 1960 and continued to be a fruitful group until their breakup in 1970. Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr remain to be musically active, however, George Harrison unfortunately passed away in 2001 from cancer, and we all are aware of the extremely devastating death of John Lennon in 1980, who was tragically shot and killed out in front of his home.

John Lennon remains to be the most famous member of the group and his memory continues to live on, reaching an alternative target audience, by means of his own comic book biography! The graphic novel, Lennon tells the story of his entire life, from childhood growing up in Liverpool in the UK, to global fame with The Beatles, to his solo career, and his personal life with wife, Yoko Ono.

Lennon was announced at the New York Comic Con by IDW Publishing. The comic book biography is a black and white pictorial adaptation from the 2010 novel (sadly only available in French and Italian) by author David Foenkinos, who told Lennon’s story by means of a fictional series of sessions between the Beatles legend and a fictional therapist.

Lennon is yet another great way for fans of The Beatles, music, and comic books to remember this noble advocate for peace, love, and the true spirit of music. The graphic novel is said to be released in May 2017.

Are you excited to check out this new biography once released next year? But until then, why not have a read of the 2010 graphic novel, The Beatles Experienceby Rock and Roll Comics?
